Handcrafted Artisan Beads & Jewelry ...."The Art you can Wear"

I know.....what a mess!  I have my shopvac under my counter for fast cleanups. My first torch was a hothead, like most folks start off with. After I tried a friends bobcat torch, I was hooked. "Bob" is hooked up to propane and an oxy concentrator. When I venture to work with boro, Bob is hooked up to 2 concentrators.

This is what my motified "Barley Box" looks like. My husband built this for me. I face 2 windows and we didn't want my natural light to be blocked by a wooden back piece. To remedy this, Mark came up with the idea of using an old window as my back piece. It does the trick & works great!
This is the top of my vent hood. My vent fan is at the top. It pulls the fumes up into a pipe running the length of the attic to the outside. My glass rack isn't a "traditional" rack. At one time we had an old freezer. The freezer died & I lugged the basket around for years. I knew it would come in handy...someday. If finally did! We mounted it on the wall, added PVC to hold the glass rods and Voila! Works like a charm.

Both of these kilns are great. I really love my Mailbox kiln
for beads. My JenKen is great for fusing and slumping.

I was needing something to use for frit so my DH made this outof junk he had laying around his garage. Here are some of the many tools I have. I'm a self confessed TOOL JUNKIE. I can't help it. If I find something that I think would come in handy, I have to try it.

This was something that I wanted to do for a while. These are color-test beads. I spent some time making them and I think it was well worth the time. I'm able to see what colors look like with white cores, plain and etched. These cabinets hold my stringers, twisties, frits, enamels, foils, sheet glass strips, books..you name it...even extra tools. :-)
